Thomson Reuters Acquires World Trade Executive, Inc.

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters acquired World Trade Executive, Inc. (WTE) on April 8, 2009. Based in Concord, Mass., WTE is a leading provider of international tax, accounting, finance, and energy content. They provide business, legal, and financial executives with the expert advice they need to operate successfully in international markets.

The WTE product line consists of publications such as the Practical International Tax Strategies series with individual titles covering international taxation for the United States, Asia, China, Europe, Latin America, and Mexico. WTE also publishes international trade-oriented titles: Russian Petroleum Investor, Caspian Investor, Latin American Law & Business Reports, Venture Equity Latin America, International Finance & Treasury, Insurance Finance & Investment, EuroWatch, and others.

WTE's offerings will further compliment the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters position as a leading provider of information-based solutions, expert guidance, and integrated workflow and compliance tools. Although WTE's publications are currently accessible through Thomson Reuters online research platform, Checkpoint®, they will now be further integrated to provide both WTE and Checkpoint customers with a broader set of global and regional tax and trade content.
